Tina Fey reiterated her impersonation of Sarah Palin on the show ‘Saturday Night Live’. Fey was hosting the NBC show on Saturday night.
This was Fey's first impersonation of the former Alaska Governor after a long gap. Fey had imitated Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign, when Palin was vying for the position of vice -president.
Fey performed as Palin four times in 2008. These appearances earned her an Emmy last year for guest actor. She was also declared 2008's AP Entertainer of the Year.
During the ‘Saturday Night Show’, Fey made an appearance as Palin in a sketch introducing a mock ‘Sarah Palin Network’. This was meant to satirize Palin's entrance into media. Fey’s humor was directed at Palin’s recently launched show called, ‘Real American Stories' on the Fox News Channel. This show will soon start production on "Sarah Palin's Alaska," an eight-part series for TLC.
Fey adorned a leather jacket with an American flag pin, and introduced a list of shows like, ‘Tea Party Wheel of Fortune’, ‘Are You Smarter than a Half-Term Governor?’, and ‘30 Main Street’. The last was meant to parody of her own show, ‘30 Rock’.
