The 2011 Volkswagen Touran 7-seater MPV gets its second facelift since 2003. This 'new' model will make its first appearance at the Leipzig Motor Show in Germany.
On the external side, the revamped Touran has been given a styling motivated by new Golf and Polo.
Up in front there is a new fencing, headlights as well as bumper, while at the back there are two-piece rear lights. Volkswagen also made changes to the design on the back window section. New alloy wheels and new wing mirrors are among the other changes in the refurbished exterior.
Within the Touran, there is a new trim, three-spoke steering wheel, new set of dials, and huge electronic display together with an amended centre console. Power wise, there is a variety of petrol and diesel powerplants. The base petrol Touran comes with a 105hp 1.2 liter TSI and tops out at 170hp 1.4 liters proffered with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The other conduction unit available is a 6-speed manual.
The diesel family consists of a 90hp 1.6 TDI, a 105hp 1.6 TDI, a 140hp 2.0 TDI plus a 170hp 2.0 TDI. There are also BlueMotion diesel variations with Start/Stop technology and a 70.6mpg fuel rating (UK).
