Whitcoulls Signs an Agreement with 2degree

It has been seen that the Whitcoulls and Bennetts store in New Zealand operated by 2degree Mobile and REDgroup retail, have signed a partnership agreement for the sale of 2degrees SIM cards and top up vouchers from 75 stores nationwide.

"This partnership complements the already extensive nationwide distribution footprint we have with over 2,700 outlets selling SIM cards, 6,000 outlets selling top-up vouchers and 400 retail outlets selling our handsets", says 2degrees CEO, Eric Hertz.

2degrees now sells prepaid products in large retail stores in shopping malls and main streets. It also sells its products through existing retailers like service stations and super markets. Warehouse and Dick Smith Electronic also sell 2degree products.

In February it was announced by 2degrees CEO Eric Hertz that the company had obtained 206,000 customers in the first six months of operation.

2degrees partners are Whitcoulls, Bennetts, Dick Smith Electronics, Warehouse Stationery, PAK'nSAVE, New World, Foodtown, Countdown, Woolworths, Shell, Mobil, and BP. The other partners are the independently owned petrol stations operated by Red Circle. Gilmours, Toops and Trents serve as the primary distributer to self-regulated retailers.
