It has been said that big-screen Bravia TV sets by Sony will comprise access to ABC's imposing iView streaming TV service, but only a few iView content is said to be accessible.
This internet-based TV persists to move into the living room and onto the big-screen TV set.
It is said that Sony would create iView access into its latest Bravia Internet-connected tellies and also its Net-friendly Blu-ray players ready for commence in the middle of next month.
Unlike the current browser-based iView service available through the Sony Playstation 3, the Bravia and Blu-ray rigs will support a dedicated app built for the Sony IPTV platform.
According to ABC, formatting issues would mean that the major draw cards for iView as a catchup service.

One more disadvantage is that even if ISP provides unmetered access to iView, iView content flown onto the TV set; it will still be calculated against the monthly data allowance.
Gizmodo said that the reason for this is "none of the (Bravia) TV applications are browser based, so the iView team has had to craft the application with TV manufacturers".
The material is said to be reflected on two different servers now, one for browsers and one for applications.
The server with the browser content is free for the ABC's iView partner ISPs but the one streaming the application content is not free.
