This year's budget was a tough thing to have been designed. The economy has just come of recession, but the hurt lingers on. So how do you, then, decide what to place and what to take back? What to omit and what to add? Well, the authorities have managed it, and on Sunday, the top Democratic leaders managed to finally strike a deal on the new budget which is now ready to roll.

The budget now features about $794 Trillion in new revenues, which would look to balance a $2.8 Billion budget deficit for an operating budget which is about $30.6 Billion. In addition, the budget leaves some $500 Million in reserves and utilizes some $500 Million Federal aid related to Medicare.

It goes without saying that the major healthcare revamp that the Government is now undertaking had a more than significant impact on the budget and its designing. But it was managed well and now let's just hope the implication is as good as the paper plans.

A 25th vote, however, is still needed for the passage, something that could happen by today or tomorrow.

While the leaders do know that a lot of people would not be happy with the budget, they are hoping that the people would not be too displeased. To come up with a budget which pleases everyone under the given circumstances is not an easy task, and something the general public should understand.

Now that the budget is as good as confirmed to be put into practice, we should try and make the most of all the provision given, while trying to balance out and make our peace with all the not-so-pleasing aspects.
