Munich - German alpine skier Carolin Fernsebner is out for the season after rupturing the cruciate ligament in both knees during a World Cup race, the German ski federation (DSV) said on Monday.
The DSV said that the 22-year-old Fernsebner underwent surgery on Monday. Fernsebner, whose best career result is an 18th-place finish, sustained the grave injuries during a giant slalom on Sunday in Semmering, Austria. (dpa)
