No Consensus yet been Reached Regarding the U.S. Tanker deal, Says EADS

It was revealed by the Louis Gallois, the Chief Executive of EADS, that no consensus has yet been reached by the European group regarding challenging Boeing associated with an offer of selling aerial tankers to U. S. the deal is valued up to $50 billion and this disclosed by the Chief Executive in an television interview LCI which is to be telecast on Monday.

Gallois stated that the deal will not be accepted as it is a deal of loss for the reason that any other offer can be bought for a better rate. It was also said in the interview that just to initiate a strategic takeover; it will not be wise going ahead with the deal.

Gallois also admitted that discussions were going on with L-3 Communications and Raytheon and others also and it was also affirmed that EADS was searching for a U. S. partner for handling electronics work.

EADS is hesitating to take a final call over the deal after Northrop Grumman decided to leave the deal and also pull off from the race of filling the U. S. tanker fleet.

Prior to the scheduled transmission in France at 1820 GMT, the tape was made public.
