Last week, Apple officially took the wraps off the iPhone OS 4, an operating system which boasts several new features and interesting changes, including something that everyone had been eagerly waiting for - multitasking.
In addition, it includes home screen wallpapers and folders, a single, unified mail box and a 5X digital zoom on the phone's camera to take clearer and better pictures.
Overall, multi-taking has come as the most interesting and important feature which would now allow users to do more than one things, for example, listening to music while playing a game. A new multitasking bar, which shows all the applications that are open, can be easily accessed by double-tapping on the physical home button which adorns the bottom half of the iPhone.
Open applications would simply freeze when a user moves away from them, and then come back to life when they are accessed again.
An improved camera and video and picture qualities and capabilities are another interesting feature that catches the eye. The iPhone OS 4 allows the user to zoom in up-to 5 times on image by utilizing the digital zoom.
Searching and organizing have also been made easier by the changes introduced, and the iPhone OS 4 promises to be better than before, incorporating everything that had initially been missing.
