Not the only Lohan to use the Internet to straighten out the record, Lindsay's father Michael Lohan, 48, launching his own website, is trying to counteract negative reports about himself, some of which come from Lindsay, his eldest daughter.

Lindsay, who over Christmas accused her father of cheating on her mother, on a MySpace blog post, even while they were married, wrote: 'My father just let my family and [me] know, amongst other [things] that he had another child after my little sister Aliana. He cheated on my mother and that really sucks ... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!'

Countering it two days later with the birth of www. mikelohanonline. com, 'To set the record straight', Michael told People magazine, he personally believes Samantha Ronson, Lindsay's girlfriend, is the one who wrote the blog entry. In his blog, Mike writes: 'Let me say that this Web site is NOT about Lindsay or Samantha. I have no intention of disclosing any information or feelings I may have about either one of them unless it is in defense of what they or one of their 'mouthpieces' might say about me.' Ending the blog, Mike rounds off with a vengeful quote from Romans 2:8-10: 'For those who are self seeking and who reject the Truth and follow evil, there will be wrath. There will be trouble and distress for those who do evil, but glory, honor and peace for anyone who does good.'

Despite the sharp tone of his first post, Mike does not intend to use his site to trash either his daughter or her girlfriend. He only wished to document his life and dispel things said about him in the media. In his introductory blog entry, he also writes he is looking to raise money for raising awareness of 'human trafficking, child slavery, ministries, the Crohn's Foundation, various cancer foundations, hunger and other worthy causes.'
