GAME Introduces DLC Caution Stickers on Pre-owned Copies of Games

One of the leading UK video game retailers, GAME, has set up warning stickers on pre-owned copies of games that do not comprise of the DLC, who purchased the new edition.

The shift comes after the news that came up in the previous month saying that GameStop is being litigated for being deceptive after selling a used copy of EA’s Dragon Age: Origins, without letting the customer know that the game would not comprise of the DLC access code, which was printed on the game’s covering.

A GAME spokesperson said that the company has been devising a strategy for informing consumers at the time of purchase which had been put into practice the preceding week in-store.

Copies that had been owned previously of applicable titles have labels on them showing a message-check with personnel for availability of downloadable substance, presenting employees the opportunity to make clear the distinction so that the consumers recognize the advantages of purchasing both pre-owned and mint.

Applicable games comprise of the likes of Race Driver: GRID Reloaded, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3.
