Every award comprises of $225,000 from the charity house, which is coordinated by the recipients’ research organizations, doubling it to $450,000. Including this year’s honorees, the organization is now giving financial support to
43 research projects internationally.
Howard R. Soule, the Executive Vice President and Chief Science Officer for the PCF said that the organization was making investments in the careers of the world’s best researchers so that they can discover improved treatments for prostate cancer.
It is found in the research that men with prostate cancer are more prone to develop blood lumps, particularly if they are undergoing hormone therapy.
