Ferrari, the Italian exotic car purveyor, has officially taken the wraps off its much talked about GTO, which, it turns out, is a new and improved version of the 599 GTB Fiorano. The company has claimed that the new production is the fastest road car ever manufactured.
As far as the looks go, it is not much different from the standard 599, although Ferrari has insisted that the car actually shares more of the looks and features with the 700-hp 599XX developmental racer that the company had introduced for customers at tracks across the world earlier during the year.
Although some photographs and technical details were revealed by Ferrari last week, the official public unveiling of the car would happen at the Beijing auto show later this month.
The 599 GTO would be utilizing a 670-hp V-12, which is marginally down from the power offered by the 599XX but pretty much up when compared to the 612 hp of a stock 599 Fiorano.
The North American prices of the car have not been finalized, but there are good chances that it would fall between the range of 599 at some 400,000 Euros and the 599XX at 1.1 Million Euros.
