Warnings Issued on Kraft Tartar Sauce by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency

People have been sent warnings by The Canadian Food Inspection Agency to prevent consuming Kraft tartar sauce after it was found out that few batches of the condiment have egg ingredients which not mentioned on the tag.

On Wednesday, the federal agency stated, "Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg".

It is found that the affected product comes in 355-millilitre bottles and has black label on it with the best-before dates of Oct. 2 and Oct. 8, 2010.

According to the CFIA, no diseases have been accounted with the consumption of these products.

It has been reported that these products have been circulated in Canada. Egg is found to be one of the nine most frequent food allergens.

It is said that intake if of these products might cause a severe or life-threatening effect in individuals who are allergic to egg.

Willingly, Kraft Canada, Toronto, Ontario is recollecting the affected products from the marketplace. Also, the CFIA is keeping an eye on the efficiency of the recall.
