ABC's Free iPad Application Gets Strong

It has been seen the iPad users have viewed 650,000 episodes using a free application by ABC. According to the Wall Street Journal, iPad launched 11 days back and has achieved a good number of those who could be only limited viewers.

According to ABC, around 50,000 iPads have been sold and around 205,000 free ABC's application have been downloaded by the iPad users. ABC is very happy about it. ABC also mentioned that around 3 episodes were watched by each person whereas some watched a dozen episodes.

This application could also replace the TV sets. Now everyone can watch whatever they want. With the help of this application a person could watch internet streaming in a handheld device. It slashes the middle man between the network and the viewers that is the cable companies.

It was also told by The Wall Street Journal that this application was built by ABC software engineers. They made the application in five weeks tie after the announcement of iPad was made on January 27. The engineers were dependant the emulator that was provided by Apple.
