Sprout Launches Health Magazine For South Asian Communities

Sprout, which is a community and charity organization, has stepped forward and provide a health magazine especially for the South Asian community. The name of the magazine is HealthGuru.

On April 7, which is celebrated as the World Health day, the magazine was launched.

Editor Ram Lingam said, “The healthy lifestyle magazine was launched on World Health day, April 7. HealthGuru is all about Healthy living, healthy activity and healthy eating and is published quarterly”.

The event was attended by few distinguished guests and Ranjna Patel, who is the executive trustee of East Tamaki Health care, launched the magazine.

The aim of the magazine to create awareness among the people regarding health and is determine to make a difference in the minds of thousands of people in the targeted communities.

It has been reported by the District Health boards, that the South Asian communities are easily being targeted by the various diseases like obesity and diabetes.

It wants to promote physical activities for the outcome of a healthy lifestyle. It targets people of all the age groups and will stress on the indoor and outdoor activates which could be adopted as they generate well-being.
