Obama’s 'Superpower' Comment shocks Palin

On Saturday, Sarah Palin condemned President Barack Obama for saying that America is a military superpower "whether we like it or not". She said that she was shocked by his remark.

The ex-Alaska Governor said, "I would hope that our leaders in Washington, D. C., understand we like to be a dominant superpower".

"I don't understand a world view where we have to question whether we like it or not that America is powerful".

Earlier this week, Obama said that the US must do its best to diminish conflicts across the globe before they become critical.

Obama said that it is an essential national security concern of the United States to resolve these conflicts since they like it or not, they are the leading military superpower, and when disagreements surface, one way or other they get drawn into them.

He added, "And that ends up costing us significantly in terms of both blood and treasure"

Palin's comments came in a question-and-answer session subsequent to a speech at an incident in the central Illinois town of Washington to raise funds for scholarships and a community centre. She addressed a mob of about
1,100.

The Republican rebuked Obama all the way through her speech, for a healthcare revamp, which she says will not work, for the rise in the national deficit and for differing from Israeli policies.

Palin said that she expects that the November elections will produce winners who believe in restricted Government and motivating free venture.
