A new online advertisement system will be introduced by Facebook very soon, which will be able to track the user’s online browsing history. Moreover, it will present adds accordingly. Prior to this the website used to target users with ads based on their profiles, as well as location and the kind of relationship status the user had.
Concerns over user’s privacy may be raised by the new online advertisement system, as maximum people will not give consent to the idea of their browsing history being tracked.
Though, Facebook has declined to comment on the reports, but will soon be launching the advertisement platform at its upcoming F8 developer conference in San Francisco.
Facebook has also come with a new Facebook button, in order to support the new ad system. The button after being embedded in websites, will allow users to share the content on that website, via their Facebook account.
When the users used the feature, it will manage to gather specific information from their browsing histories. It will allow Facebook to overflow users with online ads, as soon as they come back to the social networking website.
