Flash 10.1 to Be Launched in Second Half of 2010

Adobe Systems’ much awaited Flash 10.1 with mobile support for Android, BlackBerry and webOS smartphones, will be rolled out in the second half of 2010. The company has delayed its launch as the product is still undergoing some testing.

The Chief Executive Officer at Adobe Systems, Shantanu Narayen, announced that Creative Suite Version 5 will also be deferred because it is being tested on tablets running on Android OS and webOS.

CEO shared that the Flash-enabled tablets will be made public along with the launch of the Flash 10.1 platform.

Narayen shared that Apple's verdict to ban Flash from its products is only a business decision and not a technological one. He added that the customers will be hurt by the iPod maker's decisions, as they would be unable to make use of the capabilities of their iPads due to the lack of Flash.

Flash's desktop capabilities to smartphone devices will be brought by the much promoted Adobe's Flash 10.1. The buzz is around from the past few days that Adobe may sue Apple over attempted plans by the latter to block Flash.
