The Mini 5, which is the upcoming tablet PC by Dell, has finally got clearance from Federal Communications Commission. The document also mentions the networks on which the device will be available in the United States.
It has been reported that the device running on the Android operating system will not be just carried by one US carrier but more of them will be considered. There have been speculations that the device will be available on both, AT&T and T-Mobile. The Android device is also called as the Streak.
The device will be helpful to those consumers, who find iPad to be too big or iPod or iPhone to be too small for them.
It has been stated that Mini 5 will be launched in the market with the help of Amazon, which will be facilitating the device with music, eBooks and videos on demand. It is being predicted that the device will cost around $500. Dell also sells another version called Mini 3 in the countries like China and Brazil
To talk about the long term plans of Dell, there is a possibility that it comes out with a Mini tablet at the end of 2010, which will be sized approximately 7 inch and another variants may also be introduced. Customers are eagerly waiting for the device but many alternate selling points have to be considered by Dell.
