The ex- Chief Executive of Lehman Brothers will let know House lawmakers on Tuesday that he has does not remember at all about an accounting plan that a bankruptcy auditor said the corporation used in order to camouflage its terrifying economic condition.
As per the declaration set for a House hearing on Tuesday, Richard Fuld, Lehman's previous CEO, stated that he does not recollect seeing any credentials associated with the supposed Repo 105 accounting trick.
The preceding month, an auditor, which had been chosen by the bankruptcy court to examine the Lehman disaster, issued a 2,200-page testimony. It was able to find that the company camouflaged $50 billion worth arrears by means of the supposed Repo 105 accounting trick.
Ever since the information came out, Capitol Hill lawmakers are taking more interest in search of finding out if the accounting trick had been extensively used by Wall Street companies to conceal their arrears.
Tuesday's trial, which is going to take place before the House Financial Services Committee is the most recent effort to investigate the issue and comes as the Obama management is urging passage of a comprehensive economic regulatory refurbish.
