A new study is doubtful on the level of benefits which have been claimed to be provided by the computer based training exercises. Many people all over the world are trying their level best to enhance their memory and improve mental fitness with the help of these computer exercises.
The brain training programs boast of their unlimited benefits and their positive effect on the cognitive skills but all these claims have been challenged by an article published in the Journal named Nature.
Steven Aldrich, Chief Executive of Posit Science of San Francisco, which sells brain-training programs, said, "The study overreaches in generalizing that since their methods did not work, all methods would not work".
It has been reported that the brain training and fitness industry has been booming in North America and the earnings of the industry increased from $225 million to $265 million. This information was revealed by SharpBrains, a market-research firm. Many positive predictions have been made about the industry in the coming years.
The consumers of the brain training programs include commercial users as well as professional users. It includes retirement communities and many insurance companies.
