The five month-old baby girl Baby Jenny, was reunited with her parents earlier this month after being rescued after Haiti's catastrophic Earthquake, has a secure future, as funds have been raised for her.
She was found in the debris five, days after the earthquake. She was unable to breathe and had suffered severe head and chest injuries. She received emergency care at Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center and Holtz Children's Hospital. Her rescue was broadcasted around the world, which resulted in an outburst of sympathy.
Roberto Martinez, partner at Colson Hicks Eidson and attorney for Baby Jenny's parents said, "The Baby Jenny Fund was established to give this modest family a chance at rebuilding their lives and getting back on their feet".
He further shared that Junior Alexis and Nadine Devilme, parents of Baby Jenny were like hundreds of thousands of fellow Haitians who has suffered severe emotional and financial suffering. The donations will make it sure that Jenny has a bright future.
A trust will be set up in Baby Jenny's name and all the donations to the fund will be directed to the trust. Donors will receive a thank you letter in the mail, as well as via email, as donations are tax-deductible.
