A new research has revealed that nab-paclitaxel (AbraxaneR for Injectable Suspension), along with bevacizumab may aid in the treatment of a rare form of breast cancer which is very difficult to treat, according to experts.

These findings were revealed recently at the 101st Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), in Washington D. C. The study found that the use of this combination of drugs stopped growth of new tumors completely, and it decreased the lymph node and lung metastases by 50% and 87%, respectively.

It must be mentioned that this combination of drugs helps patients suffering from inflammatory breast cancer, considered to be the most deadly form of cancer. The studies were undertaken by Abraxis Bioscience, a Los Angeles based Biotechnology Company.

The research was undertaken to develop insight on the treatment of a highly complicated form of breast cancer. It can significantly improve the survival chances for patients suffering from this type of cancer as well as those from inflammatory breast cancer.
