"Cash for Clunkers" Slated to be A Success: Moving Toward More Efficient Systems

This is a shout out to all the Californians who are looking to replace their energy systems, all the while saving some good money and making sure that they are doing their bit for the environment.

The officials are calling it "cash for clunkers", for us it is a really great program that manages to offer rebates of up-to $1,000 to residents of New Hampshire who replace their old electric furnaces or water heaters with systems that are more efficient, both environmentally and economically.

The program, which mainly aims to encourage energy efficiency and is funded by the federal stimulus program, is slated to be a definite success and is all set to debut on Thursday.

Everyone, right from retailers to customers are expecting the event to be a huge hit, and for all the right reasons! It offers great rebates and value to customers and puts all products in the spotlight. Not only will people be buying more because of the price-cuts, they would actually be picking up products which are environment friendly and help in energy conservation.

The program has specified that it is in particular targeting heating systems, instead of other appliances like washing machines. Authorities and organizers have stressed that replacement of heating systems can save substantially more energy as only 10 percent of the (house heating) systems installed are energy-efficient" while "approximately 70 percent of traditional household appliances sold in New Hampshire are energy efficient".

So starting Thursday, let's join hands and pledge to do out bit for the environment and energy conservation, and also pocket some extra cash!
