Hitler Satire Crackdown Explained by Downfall Film Producer

The firm that produced Downfall, the motion picture, has explained why after all these years it at last, pulled down the popular YouTube satire clippings.

Previously this week, Constantin Film instructed YouTube to clear all of the Hitler satire videos that took a striking scene from the film Downfall and changed it into comical redubbed scenes.

The satire videos made use of a passionate monologue from Bruno Ganz's Hitler character in which he comes to a realization that he is not capable of winning World War II, and changed the subtitles to show it as if he is nostalgic regarding everything from Michael Jackson's passing away to the PS3 leap year bug.

Martin Moszkowicz, head of film production, Constantin, said that his production house received complaints regarding the satire videos ever since they initially started popping up years ago.

He also said that at times they were asked to delete definite videos by companies whose products were scorned off because certain neo-Nazi satires using Downfall footage offended some Jewish groups.

On the other hand, a lot of YouTube customers are getting angry since the clippings have been taken down from the site.
