Climate Change can be Combated by Whale Excrement

It has recently been revealed in an Australian research that Whale Poo can be a help for combating climate change.

This was stated by experts from Australian Antarctic Division as they claim that whale excrement can be useful as it efficiently positions into ocean waters some plant-friendly fertilizers.

It has been found that the biggest mammal consumes a lot of krill that are rich in iron and therefore the whales excretes back most of the iron to the ocean back. This, in turn fertilizes the ocean and this reinitiates the whole food cycle. All this was informed by scientist Steve Nicol.

It has therefore been concluded that if the number of whales increase, their excretion can help in making better the marine plant life and can result in improved capacity of the ocean to absorb carbon dioxide that is responsible for the problem of global warming.

It is that, iron is a very important element that helps in production of algae. It is known that these marine plants consume carbon dioxide as they grow up. Chemical Oceanographer Andrew Bowie stated that the problem is that about one third of the world's oceans have a lesser traces of iron.
