National Broadband Data Now Distorted by Mobile Broadband Services

With the fast growing demands of mobile connections, vast number of mobile broadband companies is coming up, due to which, it is distorting the average broadband access speeds in a negative way.

As per Akamai, the mobile usage around the globe is growing at a rapid speed, which is hampering the speeds of general broadband services.

A significant amount of decline in the number of broadband speed has been seen lately. For instance, South Korea lost 24% in the fourth Q, of the year 2009. While analyzing the data, Akamai saw a major growth level in the number of IPs that are linked with definite mobile providers of the nation.

Since the Apple iPhone had been launched in South Korea in the year 2009, it is expected that the number of IPs that grew were somehow linked to the launch.

Quite similar thing happened in the U. S market as well. During the fourth quarter, the United States plunged 1.7% in terms of standard observed connection speed.

The rising traffic from slower mobile connections is having a considerable affect on standard speed estimations.
