Rebates are now available to help Pennsylvania inhabitants so that they preserve energy and save money by upgrading their home heating systems, as stated by Department of Environmental Protection Secretary, John Hanger.
The Pennsylvania Home Heating Equipment Rebate Program gives discounts of up to $500 toward the cost of replacing non-electric residential hot water heaters, furnaces and boilers that are fueled by home heating oil, natural gas or propane with more efficient, Energy Star rated units.
With the home heating season ending, a lot of Pennsylvanians may now be having thoughts about replacing their old, wasteful heating systems, stated Hanger. The Home Heating Rebate Program gives a monetary incentive to upgrade two of the largest areas of energy use in a typical household--heating and water heating. It was designed to harmonize with conservation efforts and rebates that are offered by electric utilities so as to upgrade household appliances.
He further added by saying that by focusing our centralized Recovery Act money on heating and water heating, we are cheering our populace to make investments in their homes that will allow them to bank considerable amounts of energy and money over the next twenty years.
Pennsylvania inhabitants might reserve a rebate online at www. paheatingrebates. com. Those without Internet access can call 877-592-2061.
Once a reservation is made, customers will have 30 days to submit the essential documentation of purchase and installation. Discount checks will then be mailed directly to the customer.
The best way to make sure that discount funding is obtainable is to make the reservation well in advance. The program's website contains a real-time indicator of funds that are still available.
Hanger stated that the discount program is one of numerous incentives that have been made available to customers. A discount can be united with federal excise credits, a non-electric utility refund, or a manufacturer's discount.
