Did You See the First 3D Newspaper Commercial?

Once again, today, history has been made.

The four-page front and back cover commercial by Panasonic in the newspaper today is the first three-dimensional newspaper commercial, to be printed in Singapore. When it is viewed with the help of special glasses that come with the newspaper, stunning images start popping out from the pages.

Suitably, the 3D commercial is for the Panasonic Viera series of full high-definition 3D plasma TVs.

Mr. Daniel Tan, Assistant Director of Panasonic Singapore explained that, being the foremost full HD 3D Plasma TV to be launched in Singapore, he and his team desired to make an advertisement that would accurately showcase the 3D experience and emphasize the 3D message to the reader.

The pioneering suggestion by MediaCorp to create Singapore's first 3D newspaper commercial is very much in line with Panasonic's viewpoint for modernization in technology.

Mr. Clifton Yong, Executive Vice-President, Group Sales and Marketing of MediaCorp said that it was good to hear that Panasonic Singapore was eager to explore a 3D commercial, because it is a novel concept of its own kind.
