Scientists Hope To Regulate Weight Gain With The Help of Chokeberries
Chokeberries

A new study states that the chokeberry extract helps to control weight gain and regulates blood glucose. It addition, it is a powerful antioxidant which gives positive results.

It has been believed that in the past, Native Americans used the dried form of chokeberries and prepared tea from the various parts of the plant. Today, the chokeberry is being found excessively for sale in the dietary supplement available in the market which boosts health and supports body growth.

Scientists believe that it is because of the presence of a substance called anthocyanins which makes the chokeberry, a healthy antioxidant. The function of anthocyanins is to protect chokeberry from stress induced by sunshine and different kinds of anthocyanins could be found in the berries.

Anthocyanins also protect the human body from pollution and metabolically-derived free radicals. Scientific literature also supports the qualities and benefits derived from the consumption of chokeberries. They even boost the function of insulin and improve blood sugar.

Prediabetic rats were fed chokeberry for a specified period of time to study the effects of the chokeberries on health.
