The Asthma Foundation states that people, who suffer from asthma, should not let the mild autumn shush them into a fake sense of safety against the flu. Rather, they should get themselves immunized as soon as possible, so that, any encounter with influenza is not able to bring a grave harm upon their health.
Chief Executive, Jane Patterson opines that although most people suffering from asthma take care of themselves in the right way, yet, they should not consider the mildest of the symptoms as something insignificant, because, this could have a fatal impact on their health.
Jane said that she expects everyone to be responsible enough and get the flu vaccination administered at the earliest possible, so as to protect themselves from the virus.
People must assure that they get vaccinated with the flu vaccination that covers both, the seasonal as well as the swine flu, which is free of cost for people, suffering from asthma and other respiratory ailments, until 30 June.
Asthma patients or people with breathing problems must keep their inhaler with them, as a precautionary measure.
