Six killed, four injured in separate attacks in Iraq

Baghdad - Six people were killed and another four were injured on Thursday in separate attacks in Iraq, police sources said.

A bomb hidden in a truck went off in a garage in Mosul, killing three policemen and injuring another one, the Voices of Iraq (VOI) news agency reported. Mosul is located some 400 kilometres north of Baghdad.

In the northern province of Kirkuk, three gunmen were killed in clashes with Iraqi security forces. One of the gunmen belonged to the al-Qaeda network, Sarhad Qader, the chief of local police, told VOI.

Kirkuk is a multi-ethnic province located 250 kilometres north of Baghdad.

Meanwhile, in the restive Diyala province, three civilians were injured when a bomb exploded near their car, a police source told VOI without giving further details. (dpa)
