LG is ready to introduce a new smartphone in the UK, the Android power-driven Optimus G540.
The cellphone sports a 3 inch touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera, an FM radio, wi-fi and GPS.
The handset does not boast of jaw dropping specifications, and indeed the smarphone is only equipped to run Android 1.6, instead of the latest edition of Google's OS.
However, the Optimus focuses more on simplicity and effortlessness usage for the first time smartphone user, rather than its advanced technology.
LG has devised the G540 as a user friendly introduction in the universe of smartphones.
It is equipped with social networking en suite, for easy access to social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook, and the handset also brags about a number of incorporated Google services.
The on-board camera is capable to record video, but not in HD quality, and the phone also integrates comprehensible video editing software.
The Optimus G540 is anticipated to enter the markets this weekend, though nothing is known about the cost details as yet.
