AMD Catalyst 10.4 Driver Update Release

It has been stated that AMD has released a new official Catalyst driver update. The new updates include many enhancements and fixes.

The completed version removes one problem that had led to the Windows cursor to appear bigger. The other bug that resulted in the Battlefield 2: Bad Company map to load slowly has also been eliminated.

This BFBC2 update is applicable to Radeon 5000-series graphics cards.

Users, who possess older Radeons, will have to hold on for a future release. The other option for these people is to install the Catalyst 10.4a preview driver. Catalyst 10.4 also takes care of snitches in the Catalyst Control Center, Adobe Flash Player, Alien vs. Predator, Empire: Total War, Napoleon: Total War, NecroVision, The Chronicles of Riddick 2, and so on.

Along with this enhancement in performance one can expect a 3% to 6% augmentation on S. T. A. L. K. E. R. - Clear Sky when playing it on Radeon HD 5700, 5800 or 5970 products.

The H. 264 level 5.1 is backed. This update has also added the ATI Video converter to the advanced view of the CCC. It has also shored up for the Windows 7 Drag and Drop video converter.
