Humax to Repair PVRs’ Malfunctions
Humax to Repair PVRs’ Malfunctions

According to reports, Humax has sent an email to consumers who were having troubles with the organization's PVRs following the digital substitute.

PVR-9150T, PVR-9300T are said to be the affected models and, specifically, the PVR-9200T Freeview+ digital TV recorders.

The letter acknowledges that the mentioned products have been causing errors for some months, together with slowdowns, freezing and lockups.

However, they said that a remedy has been discovered and should be rolled out in, "a matter of weeks, and we hope to confirm the exact dates shortly".

They added that they are a little disillusioned with Humax. It usually makes outstanding products, and ones that they have been glad to suggest over the past few years. A repair is good news, but it's now somewhat late.

Humax has explained its reasons for holdup, "Resolving these issues has been a priority for our technical team who have been working diligently on a fix, but unfortunately, due to the complex nature of the issues, it has taken much longer than we had hoped to develop new software to sort out the PVR issues”.

Also, the new update will considerably lessen the time that it takes to exhibit the on-screen electronic program guide (EPG) information.
