Due to premature deteriorating, Honda Motor Co Ltd will have to recall 167,255 Acura TSX sports sedans that had been sold in U. S. from years 2004 to 2008.
The first recall was made two weeks immediately after 1,850 models were sold out by Honda in the market. Despite being potential for the air-bag problem, this model is addressed to the peril of power steering fluid seepage that can cause an under-the-hood fire.
As issued in a press release on Acura's website, 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine, Acura TSX models' hoses are prone to crack and leak if exposed for over-time. With this trouble prevailing in all cars of the model, Honda decided to notify all U. S. Acura TSX owners and dealers to repair and refurbish their Acuras for gratis. This would begin from May 28.
The repair would include fixing of a new power steering hose, O-ring gasket and fluid to now make up for all the deformities experienced in the model. Honda also announced that no such problem is pertained to the model been sold in Canada and thus, does not need any repair.
