OPEC oil price inches back above 35 dollars

Vienna - The price for oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose back above the 35-dollar-mark Wednesday, the cartel announced Friday.

One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC-produced crude stood at 35.58 dollars at mid-week, 0.63 dollars higher than on the previous day.

Because of the New Year's holiday, no basket price was determined for Thursday. (dpa)
