Experts feel that these type of events help raise awareness and can help a long way in making people aware of the danger posed by a serious illness like multiple sclerosis.
This walk is being organized annually for that last 20 years. This time, it also it received an overwhelming response from the participants.
Multiple sclerosis affects the brain, spinal cord and optical nerves. The symptoms and severity of this condition varies across different patients. The general symptoms include numbness in the limbs, paralysis and blindness.
Scally also stressed that he did not realize he had multiple sclerosis until it was confirmed after a brain scan by the doctors. He has undergone extensive treatment but is still not free from multiple sclerosis. He agrees that he has to accept the illness as a part of his life and carry on.
Scally feels that people with this illness needs to stay positive and continue with medication and be prepared for everything.
