Scientists: TV Responsible in Weight Gain amongst Kids, Making Them Less Intelli

Scientist assert that kids indulging themselves in watching TV, makes them less intelligent and are likely to gain a lot of weight, because there is no physical activity involved, while they hog on something at the time of watching TV.

This study has established that even two year olds, who watch TV, were found that they ate more amount of junk food with the maximum time they spent watching television and sitting on their couches.

Parents of 1,314 kids born in the Canadian state of Quebec in 1997 and 1998 had been told to report the amount of time their kids spent on watching TV. The age of the kids was two and a half and four and a half.

The research explored that for each extra hour of TV watched per week two-year-olds suffered a 6% decline in performance in math, a 7% decline in classroom engagement and a 10% increase in victimization by classmates.

Each additional hour watching TV also matched up with 9% less exercise, eating of 10% supplementary munchies or other snacks, and a 5% increase in BMI.
