It has been reported that the Royal Australian and New Zealand Collage of Psychiatrists' Congress will carry on until 6 May this year, at SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland.
It is said that the Congress brings together mental health experts in a variety of areas, including kids and teenagers to old age, mental health all through the lifetime will be talked about.
It has been said that in general practice patients, Hypochondriasis is found to be more wide-spread than depression and anxiety.
It has been found in nearly 20% of patients visiting general practitioners to be suffering from hypochondriasis or somatisation, while 9.5% are expected to have depression or anxiety.
About 10,507 patient’s samples from 340 GPs in Australia discovered that 29.6% of the somatisers had high anxiety or depression counts compared to 5% of non-somatisers.
Study author Prof. David Clarke said that Somatisation takes place when physical objections can be clarified by a psychological disorder.
It is said that Somatisation is widespread in general practice, and more customary than depression or anxiety. It is said that E-therapies offer effectual latest strategies for adolescent mental illness therapy.
President of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Professor Louise Newman, stated, "Psychiatrists and mental health professionals are deeply concerned that we will again see in the Australian detention system an epidemic of severe mental health problems as a result of mandatory detention of already vulnerable groups”.
