It was seen lately that with today’s release of the nation’s first Physical Activity Plan, Olympia Washington’s Nutrition and Physical Activity Plan has a federal partner.

The main focus of the plans is to improve health of the people. The national plan was exposed in Washington, D. C. today.

It was very important to stay physically active. The national plan focuses to make it easy for Americans to be active. The plans would be applied at all levels that is the government, schools, business, industry, health care, and transportation.

Form various studies it has been seen that physical activity reduces the risk of chronic diseases and conditions which include obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. The outlook for people with health issues also improves.

“We know healthy communities are essential in fighting chronic diseases. We’ve got to make sure we have policies in place to make that happen. How can people be active if they’re putting their lives on the line when they bicycle on busy roadways, or send children walking to school without sidewalks?”, said Secretary of Health Mary Selecky.
