Police Officers Asked to Take Rest

It was observed lately that police officers were at an increased risk of contracting stress-related ailments. T Rajendran, City Police Commissioner told the officers on Monday that they could take a 15 day vacation every year and take rest.

It was also seen that the posters related to kidney awareness for cops were being launched by him. This program was organized by TANKER Foundation.

“As an effort to de-stress, all of you must go on annual vacations for about 15 days with your family and switch off your cell phones”, said T Rajendran. He spoke to a group of cops which included traffic police officers.

Being a high blood pressure patient he himself asked the cops to take medication seriously for ailments like diabetes and blood pressure.

He also asked them to do exercise daily and said that a special camp would be organized for the cops who had kidney problems.

Georgie Abraham, founder-trustee, TANKER Foundation, MD Shakeel Akhter, Additional Commissioner of Police Also were also present at the event.

It was mentioned by Rajendran said that like Delhi, Chennai had not got any kind of security. He also said the Routine security measures were being taken by them.
