Hospital executives that are highly paid will now have to be on their heels round the clock, so as to get that hefty cheque in favor of them. Ontario officials have decided to pay the hospital executives, according to the performance they show in their work.
The step has been taken, so as to ascertain better provisions and health related services, be given to patients.
Health Minister, Deb Matthews intends to make investment at the county's 157 hospitals more apparent, by requiring visibly accessible yearly quality improvement schemes and the formation of excellence committees that would report to hospitals' boards of directors.
Ms. Matthews said that it is intended to keep the health care system focused towards patients’ needs and are given the best of what can be provided to the patients, in terms of health services and treatment.
Improvement in quality does not just mean that patients get better care, it also means that value of health care investment also increase along with the improvised services.
The bill as well intends to provide superior care, by introducing a complaints procedure and surveys, to know whether the public is satisfied with the existing health care services.
