A new Android powered phone myTouch 3G Slide would be released by T-Mobile today and would be coming to the network in June. The new T-Mobile myTouch has a full QWERTY keyboard, a new Android user interface and a bigger touchscreen. It also has user friendly design and features.
It was noticed that the myTouch 3G Slide might not be as pocketable as the original myTouch 3G, however the keyboard was a welcome addition. Its keyboard keys are large which are comfortably spaced.
The touch keyboard could also be used with Swype for quicker typing. The display is 3.4 inch with multitouch, whereas in the previous version it was 3.2 inch display.
The latest Android 2.1 firmware is included in myTouch 3G Slide. Some HTC Sense like features is also included in the phone like a weather application and the socially-aware address book.
Some user-friendly features, like myModes are also included. myModes helps the user customize phone for both your work and personal. This can be done by changing widgets, homescreen applications and wallpapers.
The work e-mail and appointments could also be avoided and those applications could be hidden from the homescreen after leaving office.
