A new feature launched by Google aims to make it much easier for users to easily use keyboards in foreign languages. It is currently offering 35 languages to users and more will be added to help people access the internet even if they do not understand the language on the keyboard.
The virtual keyboard feature will be on the home screen of Google search engine. People can look up for information in their desired language.
Google felt that people are more willing to search in their preferred language and currently face problems attempting to type in a different language. This step will help users to find the desired information in their own language instead of translating or copying and pasting from other sites.
The users have the option of either using a virtual keyboard or can match their input with the keyboard keys automatically. It is being felt that the growing use of touch-screen devices will make sure that users do not feel out of place using this virtual keyboard.
It will also help make online usage safer and more discrete for internet users as they input will be done through a mouse and not by a keyboard. Google aims to help millions of tourists who feel confused when they use a computer with a keyboard language they are not familiar with.
