Two Sri Lankan men executed in Saudi Arabia for robbery and murder

Riyadh - Saudi Arabian authorities Friday executed two Sri Lankan men who had been convicted of robbing and then murdering a Sudanese man.

The victim had been attacked outside a bank, according to the Ministry of Interior.

In the past year Saudi Arabia, whose justice system is governed by a particularly strict interpretation of Islamic law, has executed some 92 people. (dpa)
