It has been seen that a new call centre has been opened in Bloomfield and looking forward to hire around 50 people. They have already started training a few people over there.
It has also been noted that the Virtual Agent Services has 17 call centers in New Brunswick and presently has two in P. E. I.
"From making the decision to open here, to starting the training, this was 10 days in this particular case", said Neri Basque, Vice President of IT and strategic development.
It has been seen that the Virtual Agent would be taking calls in Bloomfield in another two weeks.
A 35% wage subsidy was given by the province to the Virtual Agent.
According to Neil LeClair, Rural Development Minister these jobs were relatively low paying jobs. He also added that the no action was going on in the building and from the beginning they wanted people to work in those buildings.
The province stated that working with companies like Virtual Agent was the part of their rural development strategy. It had not been declared by the company that how much it would pay the employees, whereas, it has been told by LeClair that these would be low paying jobs.
