Healthcare Corporation, Abbott, has set its view on the Asian market, with the opening of its US$20 million laboratory, at Singapore's Biopolis Research Park.

Getting the right taste is just a segment of the plans that Abbott has made, in order to expand its business in Asia.
It is also eyeing to get the ingredients right as well as the packaging, so as to attract more customers in the region.
The corporation manufactures a variety of nutritional products, including formula milk and supplements.
Opening its new R&D facility in Singapore, Abbott stated that the investment made in this region will help grow its nutrition trade, which was capable of raking in a total of US$5.3 billion in proceeds for the corporation.
Pradip Mukerji, Centre Director, Abbott Nutrition Research and Development Asia-Pacific Centre, stated that excluding US business for Abbott nutrition, it is approximately 3 billion dollars and is increasing at a fast pace.
Asia Pacific is key growth area for the corporation, so it is quite obvious; they decide to open their center in the region.
