Websense is reported to have unveiled a secure Web gateway that facilitates threat and risk prevention and deployment capabilities -- all in one package.

The Websense Web Security Gateway Anywhere solution extends web security, data loss prevention (DLP), hybrid SaaS apart from advanced and persistent risk prevention and deployment capabilities.

The Websense Web Security Gateway Anywhere is part of the Triton system, a unified content security model.

This secure web service reportedly includes TruWeb DLP for enterprise-class data loss prevention (DLP), facilitating a coverage for applications and content types including Rich Internet Applications (RIA), 7,500 plus Facebook applications, SaaS applications, outbound malware, proxy avoidance, etc.

"Modern businesses want to harness the power of new communication, collaboration and Web 2.0 business tools, but they also want to be protected from advanced persistent threats that are so pervasive," explained Gene Hodges, CEO, Websense.

Moreover, apart from the new Web Security Gateway Anywhere TruHybrid, Websense also revealed the extension of its V-Series appliances, boosting the addition of the new Websense V5000 appliance for branch office and medium business where on-premise solution deployment is much wanted.
