Personnel that encounter stress at their workplace are running higher risk of experiencing additional health complications, for example anxiety disorders and illnesses related to depression.
Stephen Bevan, the Managing Director of the Work Foundation, is the man behind such thought since he made this observation in reply to a research that had been conducted by Aviva, which revealed that, British businesses are encountering stress pandemic.
It was established that almost half of all employees confessed to have experiencing stress, while one in five were suffering from depression.
In addition to it, it was also seen that Britons are putting in more hard work, with 55% going to their work place for work even when they are unwell.
Mr. Bevan advised that businesses should establish an employee assistance program that has a helpline, barrier free training specially offered to managerial associates, so as to recognize early earning indications.
He also stated that it is necessary that staff does not suppress their stress rather they should talk about it with someone for finding a proper solution for their problem.
